This is yet another masterful job by Mr. David Bradie...
a member in good standing with the Virginia Decking Builder Network
The deck pattern in the middle is for more
it minimizes the need for splicing of deck boards. The deck
pattern was designed for that reason also.
Our Virginia Decking supplier provided all
of the materials you see
including Deckmaster Hidden Fasteners and Deckorator aluminum balusters.
These photos show raw Ipe wood. It has not
been sealed yet. Once
sealed with Sikkens,
it will have the golden lustre of fine furniture.
Notice the dark discoloration where you see
an occasional splice or the end of a deck board.
This is caused by the end of board sealer
wax that we use to protect each board.
This discoloration will disappear once the deck is sealed.
Once sealed, the beauty and grain of each board
will be enhanced... but
the differences will be blended in a smooth color transtion from board
Rick Buckwalter used our service whereby
he acted as
his own General Contractor for
this beautiful Ipe deck.
We provided the building plans, labor to install and
he purchased the materials through our supplier.
