We stick build ADA compliant wheelchair handicap ramps on site from pressure treated and/or composite materials. A good pricing rule of thumb is $80/foot to $130.36/foot for pressure treated depending upon the service you select. See our Excel Price Worksheet for more information. Pressure treated are permanent, require a building permit, and need annual maintenance.
We also sell, deliver and install fine aluminum wheelchair handicap ramps (also ADA compliant). For those who want just the ramp materials in order to put it together themselves or hire a local builder, typically the ramps run a little less than $100/foot of ramp plus shipping for the materials. If we install, we charge $67/foot of ramp in labor. Aluminum ramps are temporary (therefore you can remove and reinstall or resell them), do not require a building permit, and do need annual maintenance.
To be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) complaint, you need one foot of ramp for every one inch of elevation. Therefore, if you need a ramp from the ground to 30" high, you will need a 30' long ramp. Ramps over 30' in length require an intermediate landing. All ramps are 36" from inside of handrail to inside of handrail. There are ways available to receive funding for handicap ramps. See auto, blog, and directory. But the quickest way is to pull the cash out of your pocket and pay us. You can also call my bank and (right now) get a 5.0% refinance on your mortgage (no points) or a 2.75% home equity loan.
