Q: What makes Super Shield fluoropolymers unique?
A: Super Shield coatings last over twenty years with continuous exposure with no deterioration or significant loss of gloss.

Q: Why do Super Shield coatings perform so well?
A: The main chain structure is similar to PVDF having a complete alternating sequence of fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon units. The chemically stable fluoro-olefin unit protects the unstable hydrocarbon from sunlight.

Q: Do Super Shield polymers require cross linking?
A: Yes. Solvent base (SB) require cross linking. Water base (WB) coating is optional to crosslink.

Q: What is the shelf life of Super Shield polymers?
A: Water based (WB) 6-12 months (keep cool - below 72). Solvent based (SB) coatings 2 years.

Q: How is Super Shield coating applied?
A: Air, airless, brush, roller, dip, electro-statically, or baked.

Q: Are Super Shield coatings hard to apply?
A: We recommend coatings be professionally applied.

Q: What is the pot life when using the two (2) part coating?
A: 3 to 4 hours for water based (WB); 2 to 4 hours for solvent based (SB) when crosslinked.

Q: Are Super Shield coatings affected by extremes in temperature?
A: Not affected by temperature after curing.

Q: What is the principal coating group?
A: Super Shield fluoropolymer high solids, long lasting.
