Pressure Treated Decks & Porches

“The Brase” Deck & Porch Building Plan—$259.95

Since 1983 we have designed and built decks, porches and gazebos made from pressure treated wood because, frankly, pressure treated gives you the biggest bang for the buck (at least at first).

We have literally thousands of deck, porch and gazebo customers all over Virginia, Maryland and the nation. The big disadvantage has been that pressure treated wood will weather, gray, twist, crack, cup, peel and begin to look pretty nasty unless the wood is sealed soon after installation to keep the weather out.

“The Par Excellence” Multi-level Deck Plan – $259.95

The problem has been that stains and sealers are limited. Typically they last only a few months because UV rays, rain, temperature extremes, oxidation and foot traffic take a toll.

Worse still is what the "powers that be" did to us when they "convinced" the pressure treatment facilities to remove the arsenic from PT wood, which might have been a good idea:  But they failed to give them sufficient time to test the alternative!  Result?  Trex puts it this way... "decks are in advanced stages of rot in 7-9 years from installation."

This is why decks are collapsing all across the country.  And no one wants to talk about it.  But I will.  Because I have an inexpensive solution that stops rot and prevents its return.

Then, of course, if your pressure treated deck is already weathered badly, it might be a candidate for a complete resurfacing job which will make it look almost like new and for a lot less than replacing it. And the material we use will last for many years!  Actually a lifetime.  It is called Duxxbak... because it sheds water... like a duck's back.  It doesn't burn or snag little bare feet with nail pops.  It doesn't attract mold, mildew, algae or fungus like the other guys.  But it also gives you a totally, completely dry space below your deck at no extra cost!  Normally a dry space system costs you thousands of dollars.  It's free with Duxxbak.  Well almost free.  You might want us to install a gutter and downspout to carry off the water.  :-)
